I have sadly been neglecting my dArt, through no ones fault except my own.  

I have ventured into a new craft, the world of Fimo sculpting clay. Much like Sculpy and polymer, this soft, durable clay is so easy to work with and I have been making all sorts of weird and wonderful things with it.

Hopefully I can soon upload some of my creations when I am satisfied with them not looking like a 5yr old has made them!

Here is  Jack Benjamin at 1 day old! Or Yoda as Daddy affectionately renamed him!

Contractions started 3minutes apart on the 12th June at around 10am, I was already 4cms dilated by the time the ambulance arrived.

He was born within 2hrs, only a couple of pushes, Gas & Air and nothing else.

I am totally addicted to Crochet! I blame my friend Irene from Facebook.

So far I have delved into the world of head wear for all ages, both male and female. I have started an Afghan for the arrival of Jnr #2, there is an unfinished christening cape on my desk, and a Bolero in my wool basket unfinished.  But they are 'projects' that are long term and teaching me how to do different stitches like the shell stitch.

As I had mastered the sc, dc, sl st and dec dc I decided it was time to try something a little more adventurous.  I chose a pattern that used colours I already had, and used a hook size that was in my bag.  

The instructions were clear enough, it was the fiddly sewing bits together that aggravated me the most. Not sure I will make many more of these, but it was certainly fun watching it come together… that is the addictive part of crochet I think, watching your item appear with each row that you complete.  It is amazing how quick it begins to take shape.

So, I decided to turn my hand to Cosplay.

Not doing it, goodness no, not with my hmm... curvacious figure!! No no, I will make the costumes. But I need some inspiration.

I want to start with Warcraft.  My Char is a female warlock, so my first immediate thought was Imbued Netherweave Robe...

Open to suggestions!

Let the rant begin:

I have been trying all day to create something in either Photoshop or Illustrator, and I am either completely useless, or the programs are.

I have rough sketches of what I want, really, really rough, but can I make them in Adobe? NO!!

The image in my head is crystal clear, but I just can get it from my head to paper/monitor.  It is driving me insane!
